| What is Young Filmmakers Festival Queensland? The Young Filmmakers Festival Queensland is a Free Event that encourages all young Queenslanders under 18* years to have a voice through the medium of film irrespective of their gender, culture, religious and socio-economic backgrounds. Young Filmmakers is run entirely by volunteers. We have no profit motive so there is no entry fee and admission to the Festival and Awards Night is always Free. YFFQ's objective is to provide skills development and foot in the door opportunities to the leading Film Industry companies/schools. To fulfil this objective YFFQ has geared its Awards' prizes to include a 20" iMac computer with editing software, work experience (Cutting Edge, etc), work shops(NIDA, etc), a scholarship at QUT for two university subjects that are accredited to their degree, etc *You must be 17 years or younger on January 1st 2009. | | Top Prize for 2008 20" Apple iMac Computer and Final Cut Express from The Mac Doctors 2 Summer semester subjects at QUT in Film and TV from Queensland University of Technology Creative Industries Faculty Be at the 2009 Awards to see who gets the top prize, have some fun, and watch some new films.
